Global settings that apply to every project file you open, every time you run the program
To change CuePoints settings: CuePoints > Settings…
Default settings can be restored by pressing Restore Default
Auto Backup
Once enabled, your project will automatically save backup files at regular intervals.
Interval - Time between backups are saved - 1, 5 or 15 minutes. When there is no activity within CuePoints, backups are not made.
Backups to Keep - The number of backup files stored before overwriting - 1, 3, 5 or 10 backups.
Backup Location:
Subfolder - A folder called “Backups” will be created inline with the project file location.
Custom Location - Backup files will be stored in the specified location regardless of the project file location.
Test Backup File Now - This will ignore the specified interval and store an immediate backup in the specified location.
Audio Scrubbing
This is when the timeline playhead, cues on the timeline or the scrub bar is dragged (scrubbed).
With Audio - Output audio when scrubbing (can be useful for locating the exact point in a waveform).
Mute - Output no audio when scrubbing.
LTC Cache
As CuePoints generates LTC for your projects it builds up a library of LTC files to be used again, this can be deleted.
CuePoints
Label CuePoints At Creation
When enabled, after adding a CuePoint, a pop-up will appear to add a note.
Playback Behaviour When Labelling
Pause timeline playback until the CuePoint has been labelled before continuing playback.
Update Playhead Position When Moving CuePoints
Always unless Control-down - When dragging CuePoints on the timeline, the playhead will move with CuePoints unless the Control
key is held.
Never unless Control-down - When dragging CuePoints on the timeline, the playhead will not move with CuePoints unless the Control
key is held.
Auto-scroll CuePoints List
Enable or Disable - The cue list automatically scrolls to the current cues during timeline playback. When enabled if you interact with the list during playback the list will automatically pause this auto-scrolling function and resume after you finish.
Cue Points Row Height
Short, Medium (default), Tall - Specify the row height of the cue list, if you wish to see more cues in the list or expand for readability.
Colour Change Big Clock
Enable or Disable - Every time a cue is hit, the timecode clock will flash in the corresponding CuePoint Type colour to visualise timings, as well as offer a visual tool for cueing.
Use Fade Timing
Enable or Disable - Display the cue fade column in the Cue Points list.
Default fade time (Seconds) - Specify a default fade time for every time a cue is added.
Use Manual Cue Numbers
Yes - Display the cueID column in the Cue Points list and enable specified CueID per cue.
No - Automatically sequentially populate cueID on export.
Arrow Key Skip Timing
Skips the playhead forward by a customised amount or when holding the Option
key it will also move selected CuePoints. Arrow key skip timings can be customised in a specific number of frames or seconds depending on the combination of Shift
or Command
keys.
Tracks
Default Frame Rate for new tracks - Specify the default frame rate for newly added tracks.
Display Track Numbering - Customise the prefix numbering of tracks.
Display Offset - Show / Hide the track timecode offset in the timecode readout, for example, if the track offset is set at 3:00:00:00, this can be hidden in the readout for ease of reading.
Skip To Start When Changing Tracks
Yes - When changing tracks, each track starts with the playhead at 0.
No - The previous playhead position is remembered for each track.
CuePoint Type Visibility
Do not switch visibility - The visibility of CuePoint Types is global across all tracks.
Switch visibility per track - The visibility of CuePoint Types is specified for each track allowing for different CuePoint Types to be visible for every track.
